Most candidates walk into interviews underprepared. AI lets you research the company, anticipate every likely question, and practice your answers with real-time feedback — all in 2–3 hours instead of two days.
The 6-step workflow
Research the company in 20 minutes · 20 min
Open Yoodli and paste: "I have an interview at [Company] for [Role]. Give me: their main products/services, recent news, company culture highlights, and 3 things I should mention to show I've done my homework." Takes 2 minutes.
Generate a custom question bank · 15 min
Prompt ChatGPT: "I'm interviewing for [Job Title] at [Company]. Based on the job description below, generate the 20 most likely interview questions — including behavioral, situational, and technical questions." Paste the JD.
Write your STAR story library · 30 min
For each behavioral question (Tell me about a time when…), Use Yoodli to structure your answer: "Here's what happened: [your rough story]. Rewrite this as a strong STAR answer — Situation, Task, Action, Result — in 90 seconds."
Practice out loud with AI feedback · 45 min
Open a new ChatGPT chat and say: "Act as a tough but fair interviewer for a [Role] position. Ask me questions one at a time and give feedback on my answers." Answer out loud, then type your answer for feedback.
Prepare your questions for them · 15 min
Prompt: "I'm interviewing at [Company] for [Role]. Give me 5 thoughtful questions I should ask the interviewer — questions that show I've researched the role and genuinely want to understand the team." Never go in without questions.
Do a final confidence check · 15 min
Paste your resume into ChatGPT: "Based on my resume and this job description, what are the 3 most likely weaknesses they'll probe? Give me prepared answers for each." Removes your biggest anxiety going in.
The question bank is only as good as the job description you paste. The more specific the JD, the more targeted the questions ChatGPT generates. If the JD is vague, add context: "The role involves [X, Y, Z]." Specificity in your prompt equals specificity in your prep.
Sample prompts for each step
Step 1 — Company research
I have an interview at [Company] for [Role]. Give me: - Their main products or services - Recent news or notable developments (last 6 months) - Company culture highlights - 3 specific things I should mention to show I've done my homework
Step 2 — Custom question bank
I'm interviewing for [Job Title] at [Company]. Based on the job description below, generate the 20 most likely interview questions — including behavioral, situational, and technical questions. Group them by type. [Paste job description here]
Step 3 — STAR story structuring
Here's what happened: [your rough story in 3–5 sentences]. Rewrite this as a strong STAR answer — Situation, Task, Action, Result — that I can deliver in 90 seconds. Make it specific, results-focused, and avoid filler phrases.
Step 4 — Live practice session
Act as a tough but fair interviewer for a [Role] position at a [Industry] company. Ask me questions one at a time. After I answer each one, give me direct feedback: what landed well, what was vague, and what I should sharpen. Start with your first question.
Steps 5 & 6 — Questions for them + weakness probe
I'm interviewing at [Company] for [Role]. Give me 5 thoughtful questions I should ask the interviewer — questions that show I've researched the role and genuinely want to understand the team's challenges and culture.
Based on my resume and this job description, what are the 3 most likely weaknesses or gaps they'll probe during the interview? Give me a prepared, honest answer for each one. [Paste resume + job description]

Preparation is the only variable you fully control before an interview.
Most candidates prepare generically — they review "common interview questions" and rehearse a few generic answers. This workflow prepares you specifically: for this company, this role, this job description. That specificity is what interviewers notice and reward.
Two hours of targeted AI-powered prep routinely outperforms two days of unfocused self-study.
The tools that make this workflow possible
- Generic prep produces generic answers. AI-generated questions from the actual JD produce specific, relevant preparation.
- Most behavioral question blanks happen because candidates have stories but haven't structured them. STAR structuring with ChatGPT fixes that in minutes.
- Live mock interviewing — even by typing — forces you to articulate answers you only had vaguely in your head.
- Knowing your likely weak spots going in lets you address them proactively rather than get caught off guard.
